A pale angelic figure to the left and a golden one to the right, surrounded by floating eyes. In the middle, five floating death figures with hallows, a figure in blue with a golden hallow, a shadowy figure with wings.

FOREDOOM'S FUGUE

A layered drama of two emotionally scarred teenagers navigating the tumultuous journey of self-discovery and transformation into adulthood as the world descends into a blend of cosmic horror and fantastique, mirroring their struggle with the surreal and daunting reality of each becoming their own person.

This is a "learn as I go" serial.  I will periodically release a new chapter that is hopefully better written than the last.

White and black dancing figures. Demons, cherubs, and angels.

Dive into a post-apocalyptic world where nightmares and reality blur in an enthralling narrative. Follow the journey of Lyria Ward, navigating through a desolate landscape marked by vivid, haunting visions and encounters with enigmatic characters. In a town shadowed by surreal dreams and perilous secrets, Lyria's struggle for survival and understanding leads her to Caleb, a figure as formidable as he is mysterious. As she grapples with her own haunted past and the eerie present, every decision becomes a dance with danger. With each step, she unravels layers of mystery, confronts the ghosts of a shattered world, and discovers truths that might just redefine her very existence. Will Lyria find the answers she seeks, or will the secrets of this broken world consume her? Witness a tale of survival, betrayal, and the unyielding power of human resilience in a world gone mad.

Warped figures, skeletons, floating eyes, devils, and angels.

GROWING UP AT THE END OF TIME

Just because reality is coming to an end doesn't me you can't make friends, find meaning, and overcome your traumas.

This story is inspired by my confusion and personal journey into adulthood at the turn of the Millennium.

Lyria and Caleb are a distorted reflection of myself.  I was never prepared for civilization to endure.  The extreme attributes of these characters are pulled directly from my own teenage overconfidence and anxiety.

The end of the world and the loss of everything they ever knew gives them a chance for a new beginning.  As Lyria thinks after meeting Caleb, "The world is dying.  Why not have a cozy home and watch it end while sipping lemonade on your porch?"

The answer is simple.  We owe it to ourselves to survive, to grow up, to create within ourselves the lives we want.

The lower halfs of the warped figutes above and devils, twisted cherubs, tattered fairies, floating skulls, hell fire, water, and mist.
A wide, panoramic banner that depicts a fantastical and dystopian scene. On the far left, there are humanoid figures that appear distressed or aggressive, with a large, ominous skull looming behind them, all rendered in dark, moody colors suggesting a sense of danger or evil. Towards the center-left, a figure draped in a red cloak stands with arms raised. In the background, a ruined cityscape with a winding river is bathed in a warm, golden light. In the center, to figures, one large and the other small look towards the city through ripples of water or traces of fog. On the right winged creatures and additional cloaked figures can be seen, contributing to the mystical or apocalyptic atmosphere of the scene.
